How to Stay RAD This Holiday Season: Tips From A Colorado Rad Girl!

The Holiday season can be stressful and wonderful all at the same time. I think it is important to remain calm and focused through this chaotic time. It is of utmost importance to keep taking time for yourself and do the things you love.

Sundays for me are adventure and fun days… No matter what! It is okay to take time to yourself. Actually, not only is it okay, in order to stay rad you MUST continue to take time for yourself this time of year. I am dedicated to exploring and always say yes to adventures. I think it is important to do things that make you happy – so you can be the best you can when you are with family and friends. This is also a great time to spend time with family showing them the rad things you like to do!

There are a lot of people that need extra help all the time.. but it’s more common and “easy” to give during the holidays. There are a lot of ways to give back this holiday season.

Here are some suggestions:

Donate to your local food bank personally or drop food off at a canned food drive. Most schools and grocery stores collect cans/food and are happy to take them to the food bank. This is also a great time to go through your closet and donate things to organizations that give to the homeless. On a more personal level, be there for someone who might need extra love this season. You don’t know anyone’s story or what anyone is going through. Being kind and there to support people you encounter on a regular basis. Sometimes this time of year is the hardest time of year for some. Even a smile at a stranger, holding the door for someone, letting someone pass you in line at a crowded store are awesome ways to be rad and spread love. I think the most important part of being rad is making others feel rad!

This is the season of giving why not make it go further? Shop smart companies like BE THE RAD (formerly 3 Thirty), Toms and Panda. These are some of my favorite companies that give back either a percent of what you spend or goods to charitable organizations. You can feel double good about giving this holiday season!
I wish everyone the happiest of holidays! STAY RAD!
